26 July, Sankhuwasabha: The municipal staff and the ward chairpersons have distributed the social security allowances at the doorsteps of the recipients here in Chainpur municipality of Sankhuwasabha.
The differently abled, single women and the elderly citizens received the security allowances from the people’s representatives elected during the recently held local level elections.
The municipal office distributed a total of Rs 38.3 million of which 107 – year – old Bir Bahadur Tamang received Rs 16,000 at his doorstep.
Chainpur’s Mayor, Bharat Kumar Khatri, said the chairpersons in all the 11 wards have distributed more than 70 per cent of the security allowances to those entitled to receive them. RSS
