24 May, Kathmandu:

A total of 18 mountaineers including nine Nepalis made it to the top of the world’s highest peak, Mt Everest or Sagarmatha successfully on Monday, as claimed by Managing director of the Tagg Nepal Treks and Expeditions Gobinda Gurung.

However, the Department of Tourism said that the exact number of the climbers reaching atop the peak on Monday is yet to be confirmed.

So far 396 mountaineers have scaled the highest peak of the world on the 13th day of the opening for the expedition to the peak after two years of break following avalanche and the April 25, 2015 mega earthquake.
