28 April, Pokhara: Energy Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the country would make headway to peace and unity after constitution amendment.

Addressing an election assembly organised by CPN (Maoist Centre) Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan Committee here Friday, Minister Sharma claimed that the local-level election would be a celebration, as the constitution amendment addresses the demands of disgruntled Madhes-based parties and indigenous people.

He said that Singha Durbar-centric rights would be taken to villages after local-level election. The Energy Minister said that the government has initiated Bright Nepal Campaign in the country by ending corruption. According to him, the country could produce 10,000 MW electricity if each house invested Rs 100,000.

Saying five big hydropower projects could be built if youths who are in overseas employment spent one month salary, Minister Sharma claimed.

Similarly, leader Dev Gurung pointed out the need of forging consensus among all parties for constitution amendment. RSS
