16 April, Kakadvitta (Jhapa): Khujurgachhi VDC of Jhapa district is illuminated after the Ministry of Energy provided solar panels to backward people of the VDC in subsidized rate, through the Community Health Environmental Improvement Centre.
Around 200 backward families of different Wards of the VDC have illuminated their houses after installing the solar panels from this.
Secretary of the Centre, Krishna Prasad Adhikari, said that they would also provide solar panels to 700 backward families gradually.
Adhikari said that they are providing a solar panel at Rs 3,100, which is half than the market price.
He further said that their main objective is to make the backward families free from dark.
The Centre has already distributed more than 500 solar panels at different VDCs including Gaurigunj, Juropani and Karobari, it is leant. RSS
