17 May, Chitwan: Responding to criticism from different quarters over delay in counting of votes, the vote count here is to take place from 10 different places from tonight.

The vote count was being carried out from three different places.

According to Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta, the ballot paper arrangement will be done from six places and counting from four places.

Meanwhile, CPN-UML mayoral candidate Devi Prasad Gyawali is taking lead with 1,373 voters against 987 secured by CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Renu Dahal.

On deputy mayor, Parbati Saha of Nepali Congress has obtained 1,187 votes against 1,108 by Divya Sharma Acharya of CPN-UML.

Total 112,000 votes were cast in Bharatpur Metropolis. RSS
