4 Nov,Ratnanagar (Chitwan),: As many as 71 people have been infected with dengue disease in the last 16 days in the district. The extent of infection was confirmed after pathological investigation of the samples taken from 100 people running fever. Only 79 people were infected during the last three months but the number of infected people has reached 71 within 16 days. The disease is spread by mosquito.
Some 150 people are infected by the disease since last Mid-July and some of them are being treated, it is learnt. Vector Control Inspector Ram KC has urged the locals to take precautionary measures. RSS
