Police on Sunday have arrested one additional individual who became doctor on the basis of fake educational certificate.
A Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) team held Rajendra Prasad Das, a government doctor serving at the Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj for allegedly having fraudulent academic certificate to take charge the responsibility of doctor.
CIB Spokesperson SP Deewas Lohani said he was found to have undertaken MBBS on basis of fake Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) without passing the mandatory academic level.
He said the person held is being taken to Kathmandu from Saptari for further investigation into the incident.
Earlier, police have so far arrested and made public 12 doctors having fake certificates.
