6 Oct-Bhadrapur: Police have arrested a person, who was absconding after looting cash from a person immediately after he received it from money transfer in Birtamodh.
The police nabbed and initiated necessary action against Arjun Tamang of Dangibari-7, Jhapa, said the Area olice Office, Birtamodh.
Tamang had run way after robbing a wallet from Krishna Bahadur Limbu, 48, of Danabari-1, Ilam. Tamang was following Limbu after the former knew that Limbu had taken out money from City Express Money Transfer in Birtamodh on October 1.
Tamang was arrested with cash Rs 45,000 from his house after victim Limbu had lodged a complaint with police. While giving explanation to police, Tamang said that he had lent some of the money to his friend and spent the rest to purchase jewelries to his wife.
Two among others involved in the incident are still at large, police said, adding that search for the absconders is on. RSS
