24 May, Ghazni, Afghanistan: At least 10 militants had been killed Wednesday outside Ghazni city, the capital of eastern Ghazni province, a police official said.

According to police official Bashir Ahmad Taraki, Taliban militants launched a coordinated attack on security checkpoints in the outskirt of Ghazni city, triggering heavy firefight which lasted for several hours.

However, he added that the attacking militants fled away after leaving 10 dead bodies.

One policeman sustained injuries in the conflict, the official admitted. Taliban militants haven’t commented. Xinhua
