6 Jan, Kathmandu: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman Kamal Thapa has opined for forwarding the constitution amendment bill forging consensus among the political parties.

While receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters Club calling for forging consensus on the amendment bill at the central office of the party today, chairman Thapa said that the political environment might be deteriorated more if the bill was forwarded in the present situation in its current form.

He added that though the Supreme Court verdict has opened the way for discussions on the bill, it was not only the matter of constitutional or legal issue but furthermore it was a political concern.

In another context, leader Thapa added that more ministers representing from the party might be inducted in the government after the merger of the party but it depends on the behaviour of the two major ruling parties.

Likewise, he shared three alternative proposals regarding the government coalition, to be taken by the party, one was continuing the ministers from the party, second one to increase the number of ministers from the party and third one to call back the Ministers and forge a new road map. RSS
