2 Sept, Kathmandu: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced cash prize of Rs 200,000 each to the members of Nepali football team that clinched the SAFF U-19 Championship title.

Nepali team had emerged winner in the competition, trailing India 5-4 in tiebreaker in the final match held on August 29.

A meeting of ANFA working committee presided over by ANFA Chair and lawmaker Ganesh Thapa at ANFA Complex, Satdobato today decided to award the footballers with the cash prize.

Earlier, Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Poudel announced to provide Rs 100,000 each to the U-19 team members that brought the award to the country in football after 22 years since its victory in the 1993 SAFF Championship.
