3 May, Rajbiraj: Authorities on Tuesday arrested as many as 12 persons for power hooking here in Rajbiraj district.
A joint monitoring team from Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Rajbiraj and District Police Office (DPO) took under control 12 persons in the western part of the district for hooking a wire directly to the power transmission pole and stealing electricity, NEA Rajbiraj Chief, Ram Udgar Sah confirmed.
The arrested individuals will be tried under the Electricity Theft Control Act, 2058 (2002), said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Laxmi Raj Adhikari of District Police Office, Saptari. RSS
