Kapilvastu, April 20: CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya has said that holding local bodies’ election without state-restructuring was an outcome of anti-federal mentality.

Chairman Baidhya said that his party would not accept the offer to be appointed in 26 lawmakers to be nominated by the government in the Constituent Assembly (CA) and claimed that the CA cannot promulgate the pro-people constitution at any cost.

Talking to journalists here Sunday, Baidhya also ruled out immediate party unification of the UCPN (Maoist) and CPN-Maoist.

Chairman Baidhya reached Buddhi of Kapilvastu district to enquire about the health condition of ailing communist leader Khubiram Acharya.

On a separate context, Bhaidya was of the view that the war-era cases should be finalized through Truth and Reconciliation Commission. RSS
