21 March, Bhaktapur: At a time when the Sajha buses have become popular with reliable service in the Kathmandu and Lalitpur cities, the transport entrepreneurs in Bhaktapur district threatened that they would not allow the Sajha buses to provide its service in the district.

Warning of halting the transport service in all rural areas in the district if Sajha buses are allowed to provide in the district, the transport entrepreneurs tried to impose syndicate.

At a news conference organised by the East of Koteshwor Transport Coordination Committee at Rafat Media Club on Monday, they said that they would shut down the bus service in 17 routes of the district if Sajha Yatayat launched buses.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Bhaktapur Minibus Service Committee, Gyanendra Maharjan said that transport service along 17 routes would be halted if Sajha buses entered the district. A total of 337 buses under the Committee have been providing the service in 17 routes in the district.

Saying the Committee has been making preparation to operate bus services providing the facilities equal to Sajha buses, he said that preparation was on to launch 40 new buses. RSS
