24 Jan, Kathmandu: Commitments have been made from the individual and organisational levels to invest Rs 2.60 billion in the “Nepal’s Water People’s Investment” programme introduced by the Ministry of Energy.

As the Ministry states the maximum commitment is from individuals. Nepali citizens from home and abroad have expressed willingness to invest in the project, the Secretariat of Energy Minister Janardan Sharma said in a statement today.

A total of 25,201 people have given word for the investment of Rs 2.60 billion in the project while 28 organisations have pledged their participation in the programme.
