Randy Travis has been released from Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital in Plano, Texas, and relocated to a physical therapy facility.

The 54-year-old country music star, hospitalized July 7 for a viral heart infection, suffered a stroke July 10 that required surgery to relieve pressure in

his brain. At that time, doctors said his recovery would entail months of intense physical therapy.

Updates on his condition will be made available at randytravis.com.

Mary Davis, Travis’ fiance, said in a release, “Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery.”
