CPN-UML Chief Whip Bhanubhakta Dhakal has said that major political parties should make a common view regarding impeachment motion registered in the Legislature-Parliament against Chief of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority.

At a tea reception and greetings exchange programme organized by UML, Balkhu Tole Committee on the occasion of various upcoming festivals including Tihar, Chief Whip Dhakal asserted that the major political parties should not lag behind to put forth their opinion on the same.

Furthermore, Dhakal expressed his confidence that the impeachment proposal process would see completion within one and half months the Speaker of the House on Sunday would determine the day for the deliberation on the same in the parliament on Sunday.

Similarly, arguing that the all political parties were responsible to ensure rule of law and institutionalize democracy, parliamentarian Yagyaraj Sunuwar was confident that proposal would be passed by two-third majority in the parliament.

Likewise, CPN-UML Central Office Secretary Krishna Gopal Shrestha stated that the impeachment motion against the Chief of the anti-graft body was a sensitive issue and urged all the political parties to take decisions responsibly. RSS
