8 May, Jumla: A team of Election Commission led by Commissioner Sudhir Saha acquired information about the election preparations in three districts of province no 6.

The EC team garnered information from the chief returning officers, election officers, chief district officers and security chiefs from Jumla, Dolpa and Kalikot districts.

Team member and regional administrator Bogendra Raj Sharma Poudel pointed out the need of strong coordination among civil servants, security bodies and local administration to make the election successful.

Meanwhile, Jumla’s Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Sapkota said security arrangements have been strengthened in all 87 polling stations in the district. A total of 1,544 security personnel would be mobilised for the security during the election and this number comprises around 700 Nepal Police personnel and temporary police ( Myadi), the same number of Nepal Army, 130 Armed Police Force and from the National Investigation Department as well.

According to CDO Sapkota, security personnel and employees assigned for conducting the election would reach to the assigned stations by May 10. RSS
