26 April, Kathmandu: The Election Commission has on Tuesday established office of the election officer at 269 locations of the local-level where first-phase election is going to be held on May 14.
EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma said that office of the election officers were established at 269 locations of 34 districts in province no 3, 4 and 6 and brought into operation. Spokesperson Sharma clarified that offices of the chief returning officers established in 75 districts on April 16 would also be brought into operation.
According to the EC, offices of the election officers would be established later at 400 locations of the remaining 41 districts of province no 1, 2, 5 and 7, where election would take place on June 14.
