25 June, Ratnanagar (Chitwan): The District Police Office (DPO), Chitwan has mobilized five search teams from all security agencies in the district comprising 150 plus police persons to launch search for the two police men and their van gone missing.
Two police personnel died while two others went missing as a van carrying them was buried in a landslide at Kalikhola at Ichhya Kamana rural municipality-6 along the Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan district on Friday morning.
The search teams have employed two trained dogs for the same, said DPO, Chitwan Chief and Superintendent of Police (SP), Deepak Thapa.
The missing police persons were not found yet nor have the search teams got any whiff about the police van, shared SP Thapa.
The dead bodies of Sub-Inspector of Police, Nishal Kumar Tamang and Police Constable Deepak Kumar Maskey were, however, recovered during the search, added SP Thapa. RSS
