29 April, Kathmandu: In its response to the Supreme Court verdict, the government on Friday submitted a written reply regarding the performance evaluation of Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police, Nawaraj Silwal. Government documents relating to Silwal’s performance evaluation are also attached with the reply.

SC Spokesperson Mahendra Upadhyay confirmed the submission of a reply sheet to the court by the government.

Earlier, the Court had asked the government to respond in writing in regard with the performance evaluation of DIG Silwal.

In the letter, the government claimed that DIG Silwal presented the falsified evaluation of his job performance to the court while filing a writ petition against the appointment of new IGP on April 11.

The Nepal’s Police Forensic Science Laboratory report has stated that the job performance evaluation form presented by Silwal along with the writ was forged.

In a writ petition DIG Silwal filed at the apex court, he claimed that he had scored more marks than that of DIG Aryal in the performance evaluation. The SC is to conduct a hearing on the reply submitted by the government through a full bench on coming May 2. RSS
