Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the government would announce the date for local poll within few days.
At a news conference organised by the Press Centre Nepal, Siraha, at Lahan today, Prime Minister Dahal said, “The date for local poll will be announced on consensus soon as serious discussion among three major political parties is underway in this regard.”
Saying the government has focused its all attention towards constitution implementation, he said that the government has been active to make the national unity stronger.
The PM said, “The government has been making all possible efforts to implement the constitution by making the national unity stronger after bringing Madhes-based parties into confidence and creating environment of elections.”
He said, “The government will not withdraw the constitution amendment bill registered in the Parliament at any cost. However, positive revision can be made in it.”
Prime Minister Dahal also expressed the belief that the opposition parties would also support the constitution amendment bill later. Saying he has great responsibility towards Madhes as he won the election from Madhes, the PM said that the government has forwarded different works related to infrastructure development including drinking water, electricity and road in a package in the districts of Madhes.
Energy Minister, Janardan Sharma, and Law Minister Ajay Shankar Nayak were also present on the occasion. RSS
