2 Sept, Bhaktapur: The workers at the government offices in Bhaktapur have started registering their attendances in three municipalities of the district.

The employees are being integrated into the Madhyapur Thimi, Suryabinayak and Changunarayan municipalities, according to Chief District Officer (CDO) Drona Pokharel.

The government employees at the district education office, women development, agriculture development, livestock and public health offices are being sent to the municipal offices. They are registering their attendance at the municipalities.

Many employees have been registering their attendance at the municipal offices and returning to their old offices to tend to remaining workloads.

Meanwhile, the Bhaktapur municipal office has not allowed the employees, who have gone through the integration process, to register their attendance. The employees from different government entities of the district have complained that they were not allowed to register attendances despite being assimilated among other workers of the municipal office.

Women development official, Nila Ghimire, said the municipal office cited it did not need employees in the immediate context and barred them from registering their attendances. The Bhaktapur municipality’s administrative section has said it prevented the integrated employees from registering their attendance as it did not need additional employees.

CDO Pokharel has said the municipal office is not subject to register the attendances of the employees that have been integrated if it does not need more employees. The municipal office has stated that such employees can register their attendances at their old offices. RSS
