18 August, KATHMANDU: The government is holding talks today with the 33 parties who are against the Constituent Assembly polls without national consensus.

The talks, which will be based on the earlier agendas, are being held at the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction this afternoon.

According to the sources, the discussion will be concentrated on amendment of 25 and 11 points pacts dealt by the four major political parties, and quotas of proportional seats in the CA. CPN-Maoist led by Mohan Baidya has demanded to forge consensus to go for the Constituent Assembly polls.

The  dissatisfied parties have raised issues of formation of new government and dissolution of present government headed by Khil Raj Regmi. However, the government has said it is ready to compromise anything except Regmi’s resignation and election date deferral.
