8 August, Kathmandu: Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel has extended thanks to the US and its people for their assistance to Nepal during earthquake.
Health Minister Pokhrel reminded that the assistance the US assistance missions and agencies provided to Nepal for elimination of malaria was remarkable.
He expressed such gratitude to the Charge d’affaires of the US to Nepal, Michael Gonzalo, during a meeting at the Health Ministry on Monday.
The Minister further hoped that US would provide similar assistance to Nepal in view of the federal set up.
On the occasion, the Charge d’affaires assured Minister Pokhrel of continued help for the development of Nepal’s health sector, said personal secretary, Sudarshan Parajuli. RSS
