11 May, Kathmandu: The Health Ministry has directed chiefs of all district public health offices (DPHO) to remain on stand-by to deal with emergency situation relating to voters’ health (if any) on Election Day (May 14).

A circular has been issued to all DPHO chiefs of all 75 districts in this regard, said Director General of the Department of Health Services Dr Rajendra Panta.

“We have written to doctors and health workers not to take leave or remain on deputation until the Election Day. They have also been asked to keep ready necessary medicines, ambulances and other medical equipments on the day,” he said. RSS
