13 August, Kathmandu: The skies have become overcast and rainfall has occurred throughout the country due to the inflow of the moisture-laden wind from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, along with the monsoon becoming active.

This system has become active since Thursday, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
Rainfall has occurred throughout the day today also due to the influence of that wind and this trend will continue tomorrow as well, meteorologist Sujan Subedi said.

According to him, cloudy condition prevails at present throughout the country except some places in the west, and precipitation is taking place in most of the places.

Subedi said rainfall will occur across the country on Sunday, especially heavy rainfall will take place in the Tarai region of the Central and Mid-western region. Comparatively, less rainfall will take place in the eastern region.

It is stated that the weather will gradually improve from Monday on. Rainfall has occurred throughout the country including in the Kathmandu Valley today also. Nepalgunj received 169 millimetres rainfall, Dang 167 millimetres and Janakpur 137 millimetres. Kathmandu received 30 millimetres rainfall today. RSS
