14 October, Kathmandu : The country witnessed rainfall on Monday following weather change caused by a cyclone erupted and spread from the east Bay of Bengal Sunday.

The cyclone is moving towards the west north via Andhra Pradesh since Sunday afternoon which triggered rainfall across the country today, meteorologist Barun Poudel said.

However, the weather will improve completely from Thursday, he said. The cyclone will reach the Utter Pradesh tomorrow. It is expected to cause heavy rainfall in the mid and western parts of Nepal, bringing weather change across the country as the Utter Pradesh is closer to the country. Country’s temperature has sharply decreased due to the Monday’s rainfall.

The Kathmandu Valley’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 18 degree Celsius which was 28 degree Celsius on Sunday, the Weather Forecasting Division said. RSS
