NAIROBI: Uhuru Kenyatta has been elected president of Kenya, the electoral commission said Saturday, confirming figures it had released earlier in the day.
“I therefore declare Uhuru Kenyatta the duly elected president of the Republic of Kenya,” Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Ahmed Issack Hassan said.
