26 June, Dhankuta:
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Development Kamal Thapa today warned that those luring people to change their religion would be booked.
Talking to media persons in Dhankuta, DPM Thapa said that it is the responsibility of the government to protect the religion dated back to ages as people and organisations, he claimed, were forcing general people to change their religion by offering money and making other promises.
Thapa reached the district to take part in the Hindu Awakening Campaign. Thapa is also chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, a political party strongly advocating to retain Nepal as a Hindu state.
Warning that violence may spark in the name of religion if such trend is not controlled at the earliest, he demanded that the trend of luring general people to convert to another religion with money should be controlled. RSS
