Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Sripaili on Saturday said that the ministry would continue to work to boost the morale of athletes.
Inaugurating the Teej Cup Knockout Football Tournament that start from Saturday in Chitwan, the minister stressed the need for financing athletes on the basis of their classification.
On the occasion, he expressed his commitment to play a role to produce qualified coaches and athletes for the development of sports, by helping stop political interference in sports. The tournament will continue till September 3. The winner and first runner-up will receive Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.
