Kathmandu, Dec 6: Veteran singer Narayan Gopal’s many of the songs have highlighted the feelings of nationality, besides sonority that have deeply rooted in the minds of Nepali songs listeners.

Experts say that the formal celebrations of birth anniversary and memorial day of Narayan Gopal are not sufficient to pay tribute to the veteran singer. His creations–music, voices and everything–should be incorporated to the new generation.

Senior critic Prakash Sayami said that Narayan Gopal is the history of Nepali music for both old and new generations.

The new generation should internalize the unusualness and uniqueness of Narayan Gopal’s singing.

Narayan Gopal used to go for the field visit to internalize the feelings of the songs.

Narayan Gopal has sung the songs of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Yugkavi Siddicharan Shrestha, Bhupi Sherchan, Kali Prasad Rijal, Haribhakta Katawal and other note song writers.

Likewise, senior musician Dipak Jangham also said that the contribution made by Narayan Gopal was not only for the present time but for the future generations.
