22 July, Chitwan: Vehicular movement has resumed on the Narayangadh-Muglin road after the debris deposited on the road section following a mudslide at Jalbire was removed this morning.

The road was blocked after the landslide occurred at 4.30 am today. The road was opened for traffic at 7.25 am after the landslide debris was removed from both ends of the road, Chief of the Chitwan District Police Office, Superintendent Deepak Thapa, said.

Vehicles were stranded at the place after the landslide blocked the road although vehicles are allowed from Narayangadh side at 4 am and from Muglin side at 5 am.

Currently, the road widening works are being carried out on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section and the vehicles are allowed only for certain period. RSS
