26 March, Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has formed its Central Work Execution Committee one year after the party’s general convention.

Holding discussions on the first agenda, the central committee meeting started today finalised the name of members for the ‘Central Work Execution Committee’, said NC central committee member Ramesh Rijal.

A total of 29-member committee comprising 22 central committee members and seven office-bearers was formed on the basis of seniority as per the party statute.

The party was having difficulties to call its central committee meeting for lack of work execution committee in order to take some decision.

President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala, Treasurer Sitadevi Yadav, central committee members—Prakashman Singh, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Gopalman Shrestha, Bimalendra Nidhi, Kul Bahadur Gurung, Khum Bahadur Khadka and Chitralekha Yadav are the members in the committee.

Similarly, other central committee members Purna Bahadur Khadka, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Arjun Narsingh KC, Bal Bahadur KC, Mahesh Acharya, Narahari Acharya, Pradeep Giri, Bal Krishna Khand, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Ramesh Rijal, Dr Narayan Khadka, Dr Minendra Rijal, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Pharmulla Mansoor, Man Bahadur Bishwokarma, Sujata Koirala, Dilendra Prasad Badua and NP Saud are also in the committee, said leader Rijal.

However, vice-president, joint general secretary and spokesperson are yet to be appointed.
