Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) Chairman Mahantha Thakur has urged Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala to help meet the demands of the Madhes movement.
At a meeting held at Koirala’s residence on Friday, Thakur urged Koirala to be serious to address the demands of Madhes saying the demands were not met even after the 100 days of the movement.
In response, Koirala asked Thakur to withdraw the agitation saying that country’s situation has turned worse from bad due to agitation. Koirala also said that NC would help address the genuine demands of the Madhes-centric parties.
TMLP leader Hridayesh Tripathi was also present at the meeting.
