22 July, Kathmandu: Nepali Congress Province-2 gathering has endorsed the political proposal to put forward the constitution amendment proposal tabled at the Legislature-Parliament.

The gathering organized to intensify the preparation for the third phase of local level election scheduled for coming September 18 has urged all the political parties representing the parliament to vote and endorse the amendment proposal and give outlet to the country.

NC youth leader Ranjit Karna shared that the gathering urged the main opposition UML to come to a meeting point and cooperate to explore a solution to the problem facing the Madhes.

NC has also urged all political parties including Rastriya Janata Party Nepal to participate in the elections.

The meeting has also asked the government to immediately implement the increment of numbers of local levels in the Province-2.

The meeting also pointed out the need to expose the reality of the political parties enchanting fake slogans of nationalism among the public.

NC central member Ram Krishna Yadav said that the public issues and concerns synthesized through the district-wise discussion in the gathering would be manifested in the NC district manifesto.

On the occasion, leader Bimalendra Nidhi shared party’s strategic plans to clinch number one position in the third phase of local elections. “NC should win total 100 out of 127 seats in the third phase”, he noted.

Also present at the inaugural function of the gathering were NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala among others.

Over 150 leaders and cadres of the party including central office-bearers and central members, district presidents, lawmakers, former parliamentarians, regional president and influential leaders of NC Province-2 were present on the occasion. RSS
