8 August, Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has decided to urge local units to recommend candidates to contest the third phase of local elections in province no. 2 by coming August 13. This was decided by the central work execution committee that met at the party’s central office on Wednesday.

A directive was also issued to the local units of the party to recommend the candidates for the September 18 election. The meeting chaired by Prime Minister and NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba also discussed about contemporary politics including the third phase of local elections, according to party’s chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

The meeting also decided to demand with the government to give temporary teachers an opportunity to context the exams conducted by the Teachers’ Service Commission, and a golden handshake for those who fail the examination. RSS
