12 May, Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the party must win in the local level election in order to implement the constitution effectively.

During an election gathering organized by the party here Thursday, the NC President said it was the NC-led government to promulgate constitution, and the responsibility to implement it has again come to NC. It is therefore NC’s victory is essential, he argued.

The local level election is directly related to citizens’ concerns, so it carries weight. Knowing right candidate for development rather than following after propaganda is important at this moment, according to him.

Moreover, NC President who is also the former prime minister, said the local election would create solid foundation for peace and prosperity. The present need is to unite all people from mountain, hills and southern plains in a single garland of unity, he underscored.

On the occasion, NC candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolis mayor, Raju Raj Joshi made public the commitment that he would ensure free WIFI and metro rail in five year if he was elected the mayor. RSS
