Kathmandu: Nepali cricket team is to play from Group ‘A’ in the ACC T-20 Elite Cup Cricket Championship scheduled to be held from March 26 to August 3 as per the schedule of Asian Cricket Council.
According to the press statement issued by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), today, Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Maldives, Malaysia, and Singapore would contest in Group A.
Similarly, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain would compete in the Group ‘B’.
Nepal would play the games in Tribhuwan University (TU) Cricket Ground on the sub-captainship of Gyanendra Malla.
The other players from Nepali team are Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Pradeep Airi, Prithu Banskota, Subash Khakurel, Chandra Saud, Jitendra Mukhiya, and Ram Naresh Giri.
Sri Lankan citizen Pubudu Dasanayake is the coach of Nepali team for the T-20 Cricket championship, Chairman of CAN Tanka Angbuhang told journalists.
The top two teams of the match will be allowed to play the World T-20 Cricket Championship scheduled to be held in UAE in December, 2013. RSS
