16 Sept, Pokhara: The Nepali diaspora in Japan have extended financial support for the treatment of a teenage girl who suffered severe burn injuries in a kitchen accident.

Anita Dhalauti of Bagari area of Pokhara – Lekhnath Metropolitan City received Rs 70,900 in support to treat her burn injuries.

The amount fundraised by Sagar Gurung, a Nepali migrant worker in Japan, was handed over to Anita’s husband Santosh on Friday by her brother Yogesh.

Anita suffered severe burn injuries to her chest, back and hands when kerosene burst onto her body as she tried to pump a stove. She is currently being treated at Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Kathmandu.

The doctors have already performed surgery on the charred skin. Doctors say her health condition is improving and she is undergoing regular therapy. Santosh and Anita tied the knot two years ago after falling in love. RSS
