18 Jan, Dang, Jan 18: Minister for Information and Communications, Surendra Kumar Karki, today said the parties were now ready to hold the elections.
Speaking at an interaction programme held by Reporters’ Club Dang Chapter here, Minister Karki said the opposition parties were also eager and that other parties were ready to head to the elections.
The Minister also spoke of the ongoing process to formulate acts related to the elections and preparations made by the Election Commission (EC) for the same.
The present political scenario is moving forward in consensus and cooperation, Karki said while claiming that main opposition party – CPN (UML) and Madhes-centric parties were also of the same mind.
The Minister called on the media organizations to not only focus on big speeches but raise the issues of the endangered and marginalized ethnic groups. RSS
