Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) and Deputy Prime Minister, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, has said that party’s statute would be formulated based on democratic norm.

At a press meet organised here on the eve of the first national convention of the party, Chairman Gachchhadar said that the party’s statute would be approved as well as discussion held on whether to change the party’s name.

A total of 2,500 representatives of the party as well as 500 observers would participate in the three-day national convention, beginning from Monday, he added.

CPN (UML) Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Rhapa, as well as leaders of other political parties would participate in the inaugural session taking place at Sahid Stadium, Biratnagar.

Similarly, senior leaders of different political parties from India would also come to participate the inaugural session of the convention.

To a media query, he said that 33 per cent representation of women would be guaranteed and there would be special arrangement for communities from hilly areas.
