Kathmandu, Nov. 13:

At least eight passengers including driver of a micro-bus sustained injuries when a petrol bomb was hurled at the microbus en route to Maharajgunj from Kalanki nearby Town Planning in Samakhusi this evening.

An unidentified group threw the incendiary bomb targeting the microbus (Ba 1 Ja 9891) from 20 metres away.

Two among the injured are in critical condition. Seven of them are undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital and one at Binayak Hosptial, Gangobu.

The injured in the incident are microbus driver Ram Shuhar Thapa of nuwakot and passengers including Manju Panta of Dhapasi, Dhoj Singh Bista of Baitadi, Binod Chand of Kailali, Manju Shrestha of Kailali, Sanubabu Basnet of Kathmandu, Raju Chhantyal of Sindhupalchowk and Mitthu Shrestha, the police confirmed.

Chhantyal is undergoing treatment at the Binayak Hospital.

Meanwhile, an Improvised Electronic Device was detonated nearby Bir Hospital this evening. However, no loss was reported in the incident that took place in the heart of Kathmandu.

Investigation into both the incidents is underway, said Nepal police Spokesperson Ganesh KC. RSS
