9 March, Bhaktapur: Chairman of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said that the Saptari incident was carried out by mobilizing police in a planned manner.

At a programme organised at Rafat Sanchar Club here on Wednesday, Chairman Yadav claimed that the Saptari incident occurred as per the plan of the respective minister and CPN (UML) leaders. He said, “It is the right of a party to organise a mass gathering in a democracy. But others have also right to protest it. It was wrong to open fire in the name of quelling the protest.”

Chairman Yadav said that CPN (UML)’s version of a mass murder attempt on its top leadership was only a rumour.

He further said that announcing local poll without finalizing local structures was conspiracy not to hold local poll. Saying that local poll should be held only after the election at the centre and provinces, Yadav said that it was wrong to say that election would be held without Madhes’s participation.
