Bhaktapur, Jan. 26: The SOS Balgram Nepal has rehabilitated 1,150 children after providing them proper education and making a capable person until the 40th year of its establishment in Nepal.
The SOS Balgram, an international organisation, is providing care and shelter to homeless children.

On the 40th anniversary of the organisation, National Director Shanker Pradhananga, said that the organisation rehabilitated this number of individuals in the society after bringing them up in the organisation, providing them quality education and necessary vocational training.

He said that the rehabilitated people, who were brought up in different district-based organisations–Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Kavre, Kaski, Sunsari, Rupandehi, Chitwan and Surkhet have become doctors, engineers, nurses, bankers as well as employees at government offices and educational services. Some of them are also working in foreign countries.

As many as 40 physically disabled children and elderly people are taking shelter at Jorpati-based organisation, according to the institution.
The SOS Balgram was established on November 12, 1973 in Nepal.
