4 Oct, Mustang: The construction of 13.6 megawatts Thapakhola hydropower project has been completed in the district, with preparations underway to connect electricity to the national transmission grid before Tihar festival, said the project authority.

Test electricity generation has started from the third week of August. Located in at Thasang rural municipality-1, the project has been completed in four year’s time at the cost of Rs 2.56 billion. A transmission line from Tukuche to Myagdi, and two sub stations have been constructed to connect electricity to the central line.
