Top leader of three major political parties discussed contemporary issues including impeachment motion and constitution implementation.

During the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Wednesday, top leaders of CPN (Maoist Centre), Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) discussed the impeachment motion registered in the Legislature-Parliament, election and constitution implementation, said CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said that they held discussion for holding talks with Madhes-based political parties for the constitution amendment.

Sharing information that the meeting also discussed the impeachment motion, NC President Deuba said, “The NC has not yet made any decision on the impeachment motion. We are in opinion that the motion would be forwarded through process from the concerned committee.”

Present in the meeting were NC President Deuba, CPN (UML) Chair Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

A total of 157 parliamentarians of CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) last week had registered impeachment motion in the Legislature-Parliament against Chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki. RSS
