13 Nov, Kathmandu:

Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has underscored the need of unity between Nepali Congress and UML to iron out existing problems of the country.

Speaking at a Deusi Bhailo programme organised by the Reporter’s Club Nepal in the Capital on Thursday, UML senior leader Khanal was of the view that there was no alternative to the unity of both the parties to tackle Nepal’s problems otherwise the country may witness bigger crisis.

Issues of federalism should be reconsidered, he said, adding that it would be difficult to settle the disputes on demarcation of provinces on the basis of demands being raised on the same matter.

He argued that various sorts or problems could be settled if the country was federated into five development regions. RSS
