5 May, Pokhara (Kaski): CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged the public to vote for the parties committed to the welfare of the people in the upcoming local poll.

Speaking in an election mobilization programme organized at Malepatan in Kaski today, leader Nepal opined for selecting appropriate parties after evaluating their past performance.

He added that the UML was patriotic party having long vision regarding the national development. Leader Nepal argued that his party will focus on developing touristic city Pokhara as an international destination for visitors.

He added that the second phase of election was still in confusion and suggested slating it before May 29 (before annual budget).

Similarly, UML leader and president at the Development Committee under the Legislature-Parliament, Rabindra Adhikari said that the UML will develop the planned city ensuring the residential rights to the locals.

He further urged all to be aware as some forces were plotting not to let the local poll take place.

On the occasion, district party chair Krishna Thapa, election mobilization committee coordinator Bishnu Prasad Baral among other local leaders had addressed the programme. RSS
