22 June, Bardiya: The UCPN (Maoist) and CPN (UML) cadres clashed at Sorahawa VDC in Bardiya district Saturday night.
The UCPN (Maoist) blamed the CPN (UML) for violating the election code of conduct by organising publicity campaign and distributing money. The clash took place between the two parties on the same issue.
Police arrested UML cadres— Netra Prasad Sapkota, Hari Dhakal and Ramji Adhikari–along with weapons, checkbook of different banks and a jeep (Bhe 1 Ja 1476).
Superintendent of Police, Birendra Kumar Basyal, said that the arrested UML cadres have been brought to District Police Office for the investigations, according to the national news agency.
